HOOK is a Philadelphia-based architecture and design practice founded in 2025 by Jason Anderson. With over 20 years of experience stretching across North America, Asia, and the Middle East, Jason has led and delivered projects of all scales—ranging from a residential renovation in Queens, New York, to an airport terminal in Bangalore, India.
Good design emerges from patience and curiosity. HOOK's work is guided by the conviction that the architectural design process is fundamentally rooted in understanding how clients inhabit their spaces and connect with their local communities.
By focusing on each client’s unique needs, developing a personalized design vision, and responding to the specific constraints of each project, HOOK creates customized and distinctive solutions. Thoughtful design informs every stage of the process, whether it involves creating a new building from the ground up, reconceiving and adapting an existing structure for a new life, or determining the optimal placement of a coathook in an entryway.
HOOK draws inspiration from Philadelphia’s rich history of craft and design, embracing the city’s storied past while maintaining an agile and flexible approach that allows for improvisation and reinterpretation. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Jason has worked extensively with a diverse range of clients from Philadelphia and the Northeast to China, India, and beyond. This breadth of experience informs all of HOOK’s work.
